WHY WE ABSOLUTELY NEED TO DITCH PROCESSED FOOD

The food we eat is frequently filled with conservants, preservatives, additives, and other harmful ingredients and sometimes we are not fully aware of the effects these have on our health. In the time we live in, processed food is sometimes unavoidable and almost every item we find on shelves in the supermarket is highly chemically treated. The very fact hat the food is processed means that the food we eat is not in its natural state and therefore, besides the main ingredient or ingredients, what we eat are also chemicals that our body is not in natural need of.

 

 Added salt, sugar and preservatives in the food extend the best before the date on each package, but such food is not the best choice for our health and wellbeing and here is why.

 

  1. It’s bad for our skin, hair, and nails

Processed food one of the biggest beauty killers out there. A good number of preservatives found in food act negatively on our hormonal system, causing skin dryness, acne, fragile hair or hair loss and plays a role in our nails health, making them more fragile and prone to breaking. Our organism needs vitamins and minerals to stay healthy, and none of the preservatives and additives we can find in processed food is rich in these essential ingredients. On the contrary, we “feed” ur body with chemicals that are of no value for our health, but have the opposite effect on our skin, hair, and nails.

 

  1. It aids the weight gain in an unhealthy way and builds up cellulite

Whether you would like to gain or lose some extra pounds, processed food is far from your ally. Processed food is proved to increase cravings for more unhealthy food, as these items are rich in sugar, which is not the healthiest way to gain weight, as instead of building strong, lean muscles it transforms into fat and cellulite we have difficulties getting rid of later.

 

  1. Processed food robes us energy

To stay energetic throughout the day we need a daily intake of clear nutrients that our body will easily recognize and digest. However, when eating too much-processed food, we are giving our body a difficult task and that is breaking down the chain of chemicals it doesn’t need and this results in lack of energy. Instead of being energized by the food we eat, we get sluggish as our stomach feels heavy.

 

  1. Processed food imbalances us

Thanks to unhealthy fats, additives, sugars and preservatives contained in processed food, our blood sugar levels get higher and this results in increased thirst, fatigue, and other unpleasant symptoms. Because our organism can’t process the chemicals we ate, we might also have sleep disturbances, which ultimately disbalances our organism

 

  1. It has a negative impact on our brain and mood

To operate at it’s maximum, our brain needs whole foods to stay healthy. Why? Whole foods are rich in vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin B complex, calcium, magnesium or zinc that are the essential ingredients that support neuro-chemicals in the brain. Processed food frequently loses such important ingredients thanks to chemical procedures, which ultimately robes us essential ingredients for normal brain functioning and therefore affects our mood the negative way.
